The Department of Computer Engineering was established with the vision of providing high-quality education in the field of computing, software development, and emerging technologies. The department aims to equip students with a strong foundation in theoretical concepts, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving IT industry.The department currently offers a Diploma in Computer Engineering, following the curriculum of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (MSBTE). Teaching methodologies include digitized presentations, hands-on lab sessions, and interactive learning to enhance student engagement and understanding.
To bridge the gap between academics and industry, industrial visits, guest lectures, and workshops are regularly organized, allowing students to gain practical exposure and industry-relevant knowledge. The department also hosts a technical symposium, CODEFEST, where students can showcase their skills, participate in hackathons, and interact with peers from other institutions.To encourage student development, the Computer Engineering Students Association (CESA) actively organizes technical seminars, coding competitions, and career development programs. The department also publishes an annual magazine, providing students with a platform to share knowledge, research, and innovative ideas.
The Computer Engineering Department is NBA accredited, ensuring a high standard of education and continuous improvement in teaching-learning processes. The department is also involved in research, development, and consultancy services, utilizing state-of-the-art computing infrastructure and laboratory facilities.
